TSC Transfers Several Principals in a Massive Reshuffle Affecting Many Big Schools

TSC Transfers Several Principals in a Massive Reshuffle: The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has delocalized several principals in Kisii and Nyamira counties shortly before the start of the second term.

Cardinal Otunga Mosocho has a new principal

Ezekiel Okeyo, previously the Chief Principal at St. Kizito Nyansiongo Boys High School, will now assume the position at Cardinal Otunga Mosocho. He will succeed Albert Ombiro, who was recently promoted to be Kenya’s education attaché in China.

Gerald Ayiera, the Deputy Principal, has been serving as the acting principal at Cardinal Otunga since Ombiro’s departure.

Kennedy Onduso, who previously led Ichuni Mixed Secondary School, had been appointed as the new principal of Orogare Secondary School. Interestingly, Onduso has now taken over Okeyo’s former role at St. Kizito Nyansiongo.

Additionally, the principal of Nyaisa Secondary School in Nyamira County has been transferred to Kiamabundu Secondary School in Kisii.

Parents have protested the transfers

However, parents of Nyaisa Secondary School have contested this transfer. They feel TSC has stolen from them. They cited the principal’s significant contribution to the institution. His leadership saw an increase in enrollment from 200 to 800 students.

Jason Ogeto, a concerned parent, urged the TSC to acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of teachers rather than demoralizing them.

Nyamira County TSC Director Catherine Mwenda acknowledged the transfers. She stated that they are routine procedures undertaken before the commencement of the second term.

Several transfers in Western Region

The TSC has also initiated a reshuffling of 23 secondary school principals in the Western region. Kakamega County director, Margaret Wanjiru Kinyanjui, confirmed the news through a letter seen by Chai Moto News.

Simon Chimuche, formerly the principal of Muhudumu Secondary School, has been reassigned to Kivaywa High School in Matete Sub-county. Benard Wamanga, the incumbent principal, is transferring to Bokoli Boys High School in Bungoma County.

Musonye Namusinde, who previously served at Bokoli Boys, has assumed leadership at Ingotse Boys High School in Kakamega County.

Laban Sikolia has taken charge at Shamberere Secondary School. He previously served as principal at Lukhuna Friends Secondary School.

Pamela Mumia has been appointed as the new principal of St. Paul’s Lubinu Girls High School in Mumias East. She is succeeding Evelyne Vuhyah. Joseph Buluma will move from Matisi Secondary in Trans Nzoia to Lusumu Secondary.
