New School Academic Calendar for Term Two 2024: Term two 2024 is set to span over a period of 14 weeks. It will commence on April 29 and conclude on August 2.
Half-term break
A well-deserved midterm break is slotted in the calendar, running from June 20 to June 23.
Normally, half-term breaks grant students a brief respite before plunging back into their academic endeavors. Following the term’s conclusion, students will revel in an extended three-week holiday. The holiday will run from August 5 to August 25.
Teachers’ Training Colleges’ calendar
For students at teacher training institutions, Term Two mirrors the schedule of schools. It will kick off on April 29 and wind down on August 2. Subsequently, the government has scheduled a short holiday for them. It will run from August 5 to August 30.
This will offer tutors and students a chance to recharge their batteries and rejuvenate their spirits.

Term Three 2024
Term 3, heralding the culmination of the 2024 academic year, will encompass nine weeks. It will stretch from August 26 to October 25. During this phase, students will gear up for pivotal assessments.
The government will administer exams for the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA). KNEC will also administer the Kenya Intermediate Level Education Assessment (KILEA) during this period. It has slated for both exams to run from October 28 to October 31.

KCSE examinations 2024
After KCPE and KILEA, the highly anticipated Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams are poised to unfold. The examination will run from November 4 to November 22. It will run for a duration of three weeks.
This rigorous examination period will be followed by a leisurely interlude, with the December holiday beckoning. The long holiday will run from October 28 to January 3, 2025. It will grant students ample time for relaxation and reflection.
The last semester for Teacher Training Colleges
In concurrence with the academic calendar, the final semester for teacher training institutions will span 11 weeks. It will span from August 26 to November 8. Subsequently, students will indulge in an extended hiatus.
