TSC set to recruit new 20000 Intern Teachers (Requirements)

TSC set to recruit new 20000 Intern Teachers: The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) plans to recruit 20,000 intern teachers in October. This includes 18,000 junior secondary school interns and 2,000 primary school interns.

The government aims at enhancing CBC implementation

This recruitment supports the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC). Dr. Belio Kipsang, the Principal Secretary for Basic Education, said they have hired 56,000 teachers for the CBC. The additional teachers will strengthen these efforts.

The government is building 18,000 classrooms to accommodate Grade 9 learners by January.

The Kenyan Education Ministry has employed a multi-agency approach in infrastructure development

Of the 18,000 classrooms, the government has built 11,000 with help from development agencies. The Constituency Development Fund (CDF) has funded 7,000 classrooms.
