Police Arrest 5 Men Responsible For Lynching a Boy At a Girls’ School

Police have apprehended five guards from Komothai girls secondary school.

They brought them in custody on suspicion of murdering a form four student from Gathiruini high school.

They accused the 17-year-old victim of luring a group of male students into the facility, according to sources.

Before being assaulted, this occurred on Thursday, October 21.

The victim was unconscious when he arrived at Kigumo Level IV Hospital.

He however succumbed to his injuries while undergoing emergency treatment.

The detectives detained the five men a day after they took the students’ statements.

They are scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, October 26 to face charges.

They quickly raised alarm, attracting the entire school.”
Students, instructors, and security guards also arrived at the crime site to observe what was going on, according to the DCI.

Simultaneously, the detectives are on the lookout for the other five boys who were with the victim on that tragic night.

The lads walked out of their school at 4 a.m., slipped into the girls’ dormitory, and fled, leaving the victim behind.

According to Kinoti, the other five lads were able to find their way back to their school.

The  boy that died was not lucky enough as  enraged students, security men and staff descended on him with kicks and blows.

He went on to say that the detectives later returned to the location and discovered boards of wood.

They used them to kill the boy in cold blood after capturing him.

Similar cases have been reported in recent weeks, prompting authorities to warn Kenyans of the consequences.
