More details have emerged on what transpired the day before killer cop Caroline Kangogo’s death. The 34-year-old corporal spent her last moments alive in Kabarnet Town, Baringo County. She even booked two rooms in two different hotels.
After booking the rooms she then spent some time in a backstreet club in what detectives believe was an effort to pass time. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives confirmed that they detected her phone signal in Kabarnet Town and they were closing in on her.
A waiter that served her but did not wish to be named said that they recognized her. She was wearing a yellow hoodie and black body shaper which were the same clothes her lifeless body was found in.
“We knew it was her and she even requested to use my phone when she was about to pay her bill but I was not comfortable with it,” said the waiter.

The waiter revealed that Caroline had booked two rooms in two different hotels within the town. The motivation behind her move was to confuse the DCI detectives who were obviously on her case. She was not even free to use her own phone.
Corporal Caroline Kangogo was a very bright human being. When she realized that she was very close to being apprehended, she decided not to sleep in any of the two rooms she had booked. She hopped into a PSV and headed to her parents’ home in Nyawa Village, Elgeyo Marakwet County.
The Rift Valley Regional Coordinator made claims that the mother of two met her parents Barnaba Kipkoech Korir and Leah Kangogo at 5.30am. This is the same morning when her body was discovered in an outdoor bathroom by her mother. Her parents have since dismissed those claims.
The people of Nyawa Village are now busy with burial arrangements for the Late Caroline even as investigations are ongoing on the circumstances surrounding her demise.
She had been on the run for more than ten days after killing Police Constable John Ogweno in Nakuru and another businessman by the name Peter Njiru in Juja.
