Maranda High School in Siaya county has sent home all form four students.
This is after allegedly refusing to take mock exams and threatening to burn down the school.
The Siaya county director of education, Nelson Sifuna, stated that “I asked 400 kidsts to leave the school on Thursday morning.”
The mock tests, according to the official, would take place later.
“We have postponed the internal mock exams, which were scheduled for Monday, December 6, to a later date”.
Talking to the standard news paper, Sifuna reassured the parents that the new date of the exams.
The students at Maranda took that decision after complaining of harassment by a teacher at the national school to avoid destruction of property.
Other kids, he claims, reported the incident after seeing threats scribbled on the restroom walls.
