Former Citizen TV anchor Janet Mbugua has been trending on social media today over something that is beyond her. Social media users have condemned her husband Eddie Ndichu after he assaulted an innocent woman at Ole Sereni Hotel.
The ugly incident happened over this past weekend. Blogger Edgar Obare who shared the disturbing video on his IG account BNNKE exposed the story.
A staff member who shared the video on condition of anonymity narrated what happened. The lady in question was hanging out with her boyfriend and her sister in a table near where Eddie and his twin brother Paul were seated.
Eddie liked her, and he made some advances. But the lady had to object. Understandably, she was with her man. Eddie could not handle the rejection and he became violent. He physically assaulted the lady and the whole drama was caught on camera.
When the lady’s boyfriend came to her rescue, he tried to choke him too. His brother Paul intentionally broke the side mirror of the unidentified man’s car.
Because the story has trended heavily on social media, Janet Mbugua has made her opinion known to the public. According to the media personality who doubles as the founder of Inua Dada Foundation, gender based violence is inexcusable.

She took to twitter to condemn his man’s actions in the strongest terms possible.
“I condemn all forms of gender based violence irrespective of who is involved. Anyone involved must face the full force of the law,” wrote Janet.
From her statement, she is calling upon the victim to seek legal redress. Rumour has it that the two (Janet and Eddie) are living separately. Since their much publicized wedding in 2015, God has blessed them with two boys.
But their union became too thorny owing to Eddie Ndichu’s cheating ways. The banker is doing very well financially, and he uses his influence and popularity to win many women. Janet could not take it.
