OKA principal, Kalonzo’s ally has joined DP William Ruto’s UDA party. The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party has now become a hot cake. Many popular and important parliamentarians are eager to pursue their political goals ahead of the 2022 general election.
The ‘bottom up’ nation’s political ball has continued to roll. Even Kiambu Women Representative Hon Gathoni Wamuchomba switched from President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee camp to UDA.
A few weeks later, troubled former Kiambu Governor Hon Ferdinand Waititu followed suit and ditched Jubilee in favor of the Tangatanga team.
Kirinyaga County Governor Anne Waiguru’s latest foray into the Tangatanga axis has also sparked concern. Wangui Ngirici’s (DP Ruto’s longstanding confidant) team now faces a perceived hard challenge for the UDA party ticket in next year’s gubernatorial race.
The Tangatanga team lead by the party’s Secretary General Veronica Maina and Executive Director Odanga Pessa are thrilled now. That is after they received another defector from One Kenya Alliance (OKA).
Hon Bernard Chege Waweru, who also serves as the Murang’a County chairperson of the Wiper party has now joined the ‘Hustler Nation’.

The guy has been a heavyweight mobilizer for One Kenya Alliance, particularly in Murang’a County. Being Kalonzo’s ally, his departure from Wiper may be detrimental. It will cause a shortage in the OKA mobilization team in the Mt Kenya region.
Kalonzo’s ally eyeing senatorial seat
Bernard seeks to replace Hon Irungu Kang’ata for Murang’a senatorial seat in 2022. He has resorted to playing it safe by joining the hustler nation bandwagon.
The guy is targeting appropriate re-alignment plans. He has internalized the political waves on the ground and weighing the popularity of bigwig parties among the electorate.
This is an enormous blow to Kalonzo Musyoka’s presidency. It also confirms Mt. Kenya’s unwavering support for DP Ruto. His 2022 presidential ambition has faced many bumps and hurdles.
President Uhuru Kenyatta’s allied legislators and some of his (DP Ruto’s) opponents from OKA and ODM are giving him a run for his money.
