Mugithi singer Samidoh’s side chic Karen Nyamu has finally taken the bold step. The former Nairobi Women Representative contestant and lawyer has ditched President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee party.
She has found a new home in Deputy President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA). Every politician is now preparing for the 2022 general election.
The outspoken politician has been warming up to DP Ruto’s party for some time now. Karen Nyamu intends to beat Jubilee senator Millicent Omanga for the UDA party ticket.

They are both in the battle to replace Hon Esther Passaris for the office of Nairobi County Women Representative.
During a meeting with Nairobi women vying for electoral seats, DP Ruto stressed on fairness. He emphasized UDA party will conduct the most open, and transparent primaries for party tickets.
He also stated that his camp intends to invest in and lead programs that will elevate the voices of women. According to Ruto, he will support women in national, regional, and county leadership across the country.

“At the Hustler Nation, we pledge to invest strategically in programs that will elevate women. Their voices, representation, and decision-making power will be felt. This will pave way for a more equal and prosperous Kenya,” DP Ruto said.
He would not conclude his speech without drumming support for Tangatanga’s bottom-up economic strategy. It aims to bridge the existing gap between the rich and the impoverished people in society.
He was addressing hundreds of women aspirants at his official residence in Karen.
Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru and Naivasha Town MP Jayne Kihara were in attendance. Jubilee Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga was also present.
Also in attendance were Senator Isaac Mwaura and Thika Town MP Patrick Wainaina (Kiambu Governor Aspirant). Embakasi West MP George Theuri, Lang’ata MP Nixon Korir, Westlands MP Hopeful Nelson Havi, and other UDA politicians were there.
DP Ruto has vowed to challenge ODM party leader Raila Odinga and OKA top partners for the country’s top seat on August 9, 2022.
