The Nairobi County has awarded the proposal to Amaco to provide insurance coverage for vehicles.
According to Business Daily, the Public Procurement Administrative Review Board ended the tender in 2020.
In a judgement, Justice Pauline Nyamweya stated the procurement regulator lacked authority to revoke the tender.
Amaco won the multi-million tender was after successfully bidding for it.
Amaco company belongs to William Ruto according to information available to the public.
“In view of the principles regarding the award of this remedy, the court grants Amaco orders requested.
The orders of certiorari to quash the abovementioned decision,” Justice Nyamweya ruled.
Madison General Insurance and Britam General Insurance had both disputed Amaco’s victory,.
They claim the county did not notify them of their failure to gain the offer.
Amaco defended themselves against charges that it violated any laws in its deal with the Nairobi county.
EACC summoned the corporation in connection with a trail of money paid to Sonko by a company subcontracted by Amaco.
The EACC wanted to know why AMACO and Arbab auto care Ltd deposited a portion of the KSh 20 million into Sonko’s account.
They also informed the court that Amaco was bankrupt and unable to pay its bills.

The High Court ordered Amaco’s closure in November 2020 because of its failure to pay obligations.
Amaco, which has been in operation for 22 years, could not pay the KSh 10.2 million demanded by six people.
The six had petitioned Justice Margaret Muigai, saying that the business had refused to settle their accident claims.
In certain cases, the complainants claimed the corporation had issued them bouncing checks.
They will wind the corporation up under the supervision of the official receiver and liquidator.
This is according to Justice Muigai.
Anisia Muthoni, Elizabeth Karithi, Faith Muthoni, Silas Kinoti, and two unnamed others are among the six.
