The Principal Chesinende Girls Secondary School in Kericho County, Madam Jacqueline Mikuro is dead. Madam Jacque was transferred from Marani Girls in Kisii County as a result of the government’s delocalization program.
Chesinende Girls is located in Chepseon near Chesinende Town, Kipkelion East Constituency, Kericho County.
On top of being a senior principal, she was also a very competent CRE teacher. She was the wife to Mr. Innocent Bichage Siro who is the current principal St Luke’s Boys High School, Kimilili. St Luke’s Boys is one of the best performing secondary schools both academically and in co-curricular activities in Western Kenya. It is located in Bungoma County.
Information from reliable sources indicates that Madam Jacque succumbed to COVID-19. People who met her a week ago saw a very fine and healthy looking human being. She only complained of malaria like symptoms a few days ago when she decided to go for a medical checkup.
She was advised to do a COVID-19 test which turned out positive. Unfortunately, she did not make it. It seems the strain that attacked her overpowered her immune system. It is not clear whether she had received a COVID-19 vaccine.

Her former students have taken to social media to express their sympathy for the departed administrator and family lady. Her son Winston Bichage broke the sad news on Facebook.
“Go well mum😓😓 Jacque Mikuro,” wrote Winstone.

MC Miggy Echambioni wrote, “I’m shocked by the sudden demise of my high school teacher Jacque Mikuro. Our deep thoughts and prayers are with her family at these times of sadness and sorrow. 😢”
Stellah Kemunto said, “My sister this is shocking. God’s Grace is Sufficient.”
Patrick MotGee remarked, “I was with her not even a week ago when she was taking her kid to school-kwani what happened to madam 😨😭”
