Nyeri MP Ngunjiri Wambugu calls Ruto a Quasi Deputy President

Ngunjiri Wambugu, a member of parliament from Nyeri Town, has accused Deputy President William Ruto of evading office duties. According to the vocal MP, the DP has focused his efforts on national campaigns to boost his presidential ambitions.

There have been over 187 Tangatanga rallies in October 2021 alone. That is why the legislator has accused the hustler nation of chest thumping at the expense of the taxpayer. The government pays Ruto a lot of money.

Ngunjiri contended that the man from Sugoi should be the last person to boast about the ongoing bottom-up campaigns. This is because he has abandoned all official duties.

The DP’s negligence of duty has forced President Uhuru Kenyatta to seek external help from ODM party leader Raila Odinga.

“I see Tangatanga is quite delighted because Ruto has done 187+ political rallies in 30 days. It’s a significant accomplishment. They are unaware that they have just acknowledged that we Kenyans pay Ruto a government salary as Deputy President. However, what he does daily is work as a Presidential aspirant,” Wambugu Ngunjiri explained.

Ngunjiri bemoaned the fact that the UDA party leader is acting in the status of a quasi-Deputy President. He is surviving on government funds although he is not working for the government.

According to Ngunjiri, Jubilee’s National Delegates Conference (NDC) decision to exclude DP Ruto from Jubilee was thoroughly thought out. The guy is not executing any duties as the second in command.

He also remarked that Tangatanga aligned stalwarts should refrain from using President Uhuru’s projects to campaign. It is unfair because he has been belittling Uhuru.

“We can understand that it is difficult to do these many political rallies and still deliver as Deputy President. That means everything and any development programs you see going on in Kenya are now independent of William Ruto’s involvement,” he continued.

Do you agree with Ngunjiri that William Ruto has become a very passive deputy president?
