The final list of successful TSC Promotion Applicants 2024 is finally out. Thousands of teachers attended promotion interviews in December 2023 and the first two weeks of January 2024. Primary school teachers attended their interviews in December 2023, while their secondary school counterparts did theirs in January 2024.
TSC has promoted 36200 in various job groups. This has been long overdue, as many teachers had stagnated in the same job groups for many years. There are those that have been in Job Group “L” (now C3) for more than fifteen years.

SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS FOR ADVERT 46-2023 to 69-2023
The interview questions were very simple and uniform for most of the interviewees. However, those who had served in administrative positions in acting capacities had better chances of being successful.
Some teachers received promotion letters even before the interviews after President William Ruto gave a directive during the 2023 Kenya Music Festival state concert in Nakuru County. The teachers that excelled in various categories in the 2023 Kenya Music Festival had the rare opportunity of being promoted without having to attend the rigorous interviews.
The teachers in the final PDF list above will start receiving their promotion letters as the unsuccessful ones receive regrets. The majority of the promoted teachers moved from Grade “C3” to Grade “C4”. C4 is the grade for senior masters, which is an administrative position that comes after the deputy heads of institutions.
Many teachers stagnate in Grade C3 because promotion to C4 is not automatic. To qualify to attend a promotion interview from C3 to C4, one has to serve for a minimum of three years. But it is rare for one to be successful in moving from C3 to C4 after three years.
Congratulations to all the successful applicants in 2024. Moving to higher grades is every teacher’s dream, as it comes with relatively higher perks.
