Tottenham Hotspurs has finally appointed Nuno Espirito Santo as their head coach for 2years. The former wolves manager left the Molineux club after3 years at the helm to look for new challenges.
He led Wolverhampton to the premier league from the championship and he has avoided relegation since then. He managed to build a team of very talented and exciting players that gave many top teams problems.
His style of play resonates well with the fans because he likes his teams to play with high intensity and attacking football that the Tottenham fans are accustomed to which was became under a serious threat during Jose Mourinho’s reign.
Nuno was not their first choice because they had already spoken to other top coaches like Antonio Conte, the former manager Mauricio pochetino, Gennaro Gattuso, and Julien lopetegui who is the current manager of Sevilla football club in la Liga Spain.
Nuno’s first task is to solve the small matter of Gareth bale whose future is unknown and try to convince their superstar striker Harry Kane that he can still win trophies, with Tottenham Hotspurs.
Harry Kane is attracting interest from Manchester City and Manchester United who both want his services for next season. It is however very difficult for anyone to price him out of the London club because of their chairman Daniel Levy who has a reputation of being very hard to negotiate with. Kane is valued at 130 million euros and very few clubs can afford his signature.
Kane is however thought to favor a move to the blue half of Manchester over the red Half because of their manager Pep Guardiola who has a reputation to make players better because of the way he utilizes and coaches them.
Tottenham has a very good team and they have also a new director of football Fabio Paratici who left that similar role in Juventus to come and work for the London club. His task is to try and get Tottenham back to challenging for the title and champions league through the right recruitment.
