Sassa have checked millions of applications with varied levels of satisfaction.

They reactivated their application status online module.This allowed applicants to check their current status.

Some folks only see pending when they check their status.

Others claim to be a portion of the applicant who applied on the first day of the system’s operation, August 6, 2021.

The status ‘Pending’ denotes that they have not yet approved your application. Sassa is now checking your information to confirm it.

SASSA submits applications to a variety of examinations before determining whether an applicant is deserving of financial aid.

“Once SASSA has approved your application, you will receive an SMS requesting your banking information, after which they will pay you.”

Around 11.5 million people have filed for the Special Covid-19 R350 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant.
