The Man That Won The 60 Million Reward From DCI After Terror Convicts On The Run Were Arrested

Terror convicts on their way to Somalia after breaking out of prison are back in prison after the Anti-terror police arrested them.

Anti-terror police in Enzio forest in Kitui County’s Mwingi East apprehended the terror suspects.

Musharaff Abdalla alias Alex Shikanda (34), Joseph Juma Odhiambo (30), and Mohammed Ali Abikar (35) are among the defendants.

The police captured them on their route to Somalia after a public tip, and have since airlifted them back to Kamiti.

After dislodging a block from their cell wall, they could escape the tightly guarded prison.

The terror convicts then built improvised ropes from of blankets, cords, and broomsticks.

They used those homemade objects to scale the correctional facility’s two high walls.

Following the daring breakout, they detained several Kamiti prison officers for allegedly helping the inmates in their escape.

On Wednesday, President Kenyatta requested Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i to locate and apprehend the Kamiti fugitives.

He demanded that anyone found to be involved in the prison breach to be accountable by all state investigative authorities.

Kenya Prisons Service Commissioner-General Wycliffe Ogalo got a sack because of the incident.

The Head of State has named the new prisons commander, Brigadier (Rtd) John Kibaso Warioba.

The DCI had offered a reward of Ksh.60 million to anyone who could provide information leading to the arrest of the offenders.

Kenyans think that the man who took a selfie with them in Enzo forest is the winner of the multi-million reward from DCI.

They even joked that he was sending proof to DCI boss George Kinoti that he was the winner of the 60million shillings.

Arresting the terror convicts is a sigh of relief for the security personnel at Kamiti because of the recent happenings in Uganda.

Suicide bombers detonated three bombs in Uganda, killing six people on the spot and injuring several others.

Elsewhere, the high court has condemned the DCI boss George Kinoti for four months in the Kamiti Maximum Prison.

On Thursday, November 18, Justice Anthony Mrima sentenced Kinoti for contempt of court.

This is after failing to return a handgun confiscated from billionaire and presidential candidate Jimi Wanjigi.

To begin his sentence, the Judge ordered Kinoti to surrender to jail officials within seven days.
