Prince Indah Manager Blasts Jalango for a Poorly Organized Luo Festival

The much hyped Luo Festival took place on Saturday 27th November 2021 and Prince Indah was scheduled to perform. To his fans’ disappointment, the Ohangla king did not get a chance to entertain his fans.

When did the rain start to beat the organizers? The event that took place at the Ngong Racecourse was supposed to start at 3pm. But by 11pm, no major Luo artiste had taken to the stage.

According to his manager, Prince Indah was supposed to perform between 10-11pm. Unfortunately, that did not happen. By 4am in the morning the emcee had not summoned him to perform.

His fans went home without seeing their favorite musician serenade them with his lovely songs. When Raila Odinga and his entourage came, everything came to a standstill.

Raila was accompanied by the likes of Babu Owino, James Orengo, Edwin Sifuna, Sabina Chege, Rachel Shebesh just to mention a few. Jalango gave many of them a chance to address the crowd before Baba.

When Baba finally addressed the people, most of them left the event. They left the artistes to perform to an empty field. It also rained cats and dogs and this did not make matters any better.

Maybe what Jalango forgot is that people paid the KES 2000 entrance fee to be entertained. It was supposed to be purely for entertainment, not to listen to politicians. If people wanted to listen to politicians, they could easily attend their political rallies.

That is why it broke the hearts of fans and musicians when Jalango left after Raila’s speech. It disorganized everything after that.

When Akothee took to the stage at 2am, she performed for a whole two hours. A section of the people in the VIP section even started booing her.

“Organizers must always understand the context of the event. Our fans always need a fair treat and justice after paying KES 2K at the entrance. They always pay strictly for entertainment,” wrote Prince Indah’s manager on IG.
