Corporal Caroline Chemutai Kangogo is currently the most wanted Kenyan that is on the run. The 34-year-old mother of two allegedly killed Police Constable John Ogweno in cold blood, after which she lured and murdered Peter Njiru at Dedamax Hotel in Juja.
The Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) suspects that the beautiful lady is out to revenge against the menfolk. The police launched a manhunt about 5 days ago but she has managed to escape the dragnet, to the surprise of many Kenyans.
It is also suspected that she is using public service vehicles to move around different counties with her face concealed in a manner that she cannot be recognized.
Even with her smooth operating skills, the DCI has managed to track her movements. She was first seen in Kahawa Wendani after which she traveled to Kericho. The young corporal then found her way to Kisii but it is not known what she went to do there. That is when a photo of her with young Kisii doctor by the name Ben Arama trended online amid fears that he might be her next victim.
From Kisii, she is said to have traveled to her home in Elgeyo Marakwet County, a place called Iten. Surprisingly, Caroline traveled back to Nakuru because her phone signal which is being tracked by the DCI placed her at Kenlands. Kenlands is only five minutes away from Kasarani Police Station which is her first crime scene.
The DCI are baffled by the fugitive’s attempt to get near the crime scene, the place where she killed police constable John Ogweno. The motive of this latest move by her is a puzzle that the police have not been able to solve.
Things are getting more interesting as Kenyans are asking themselves how she manages to evade the police dragnet. She must be an expert in security matters because it is believed she switches off her phone and travels using public means.
Her proverbial forty days will soon come to an end.
