Big Blow to Tangatanga as DP Ruto's Vocal Ally Switches to Raila's ODM

DP Ruto’s Tangatanga wing has lost an important foot soldier. A vocal DP ally has defected from the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM). The defection comes at a time when DP Ruto is balancing his political networks in the Coast region.

Raila’s three-day visit of the Coast is yielding fruits for the ODM party and his whole presidential campaign. Serious roadside rallies and intense campaigns in Kilifi county have lured Gideon Mung’aro to ODM. CAS Mung’aro has been a fierce Ruto supporter from the region.

But he has now confirmed his departure from the Tangatanga faction to the ODM party. Pre-election preparations for the 2022 election are on top gear.

Hon Mung’aro stated during a stopover at Pwani University that he will push for Raila’s presidency. Besides that, he will sell Azimio la Umoja’s manifesto to the people of Kilifi county.

Mung’aro has been a vital participant in promoting DP Ruto’s Bottom-up philosophy to ordinary Kenyans. His departure could severely haunt DP Ruto’s presidency.

Mung’aro intends to run for the Kilifi gubernatorial seat in 2022. He is scheduled to enter the fray and compete with Hon Aisha Jumwa. Aisha is a dependable confidant of UDA.

He stated that his hustler government will protect all micro and small scale business companies. This will be realized by providing financial help to their various businesses. By doing this, he will mitigate the impact of the increasing taxes.

Meanwhile, the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) key partners are taking a break. Next week they will launch their countrywide campaigns. They are also likely to make a candidate announcement early next year.
