Paul Ongili Owino, popularly known by a majority of Kenyans as Babu Owino has had a rough time since he shot DJ Evolve in a club. DJ Evolve (real name Felix Orinda) lost his mother recently in a case of double tragedy.
The young DJ who is in his mid-twenties has never gotten back to his feet since the unfortunate incident. Babu Owino who is the current Embakasi East MP shot him in cold blood. This was because he did not play a song that he had requested. A CCTV camera caught the whole incident. The video went viral.
The good thing is that he did not die. But the shooting incapacitated him. His family decided not to press charges against the 31-year-old former University of Nairobi student leader. They had an out of court settlement. By going that route, DJ Evolve’s father John Orinda disappointed many Kenyans.
That is why when Mary Adhiambo (DJ Evolve’s mother) passed on recently under unclear circumstances, Kenyans were quick to lay blame of Babu Owino.
According to a report by the government pathologist Dr. Johansen Oduor, an abdominal aortic aneurysm killed the poor lady. This is the swelling and eventual rupture of the artery that supplies oxygenated blood to the abdomen.
Victims of this condition may experience deep and constant pain in the belly area or the abdomen. Some may experience pain in the groin, lower back or chest.
What causes abdominal aortic aneurysm?
Experts say that smoking is the most common cause of an abdominal aortic aneurysm. But there are other health problems that may predispose one to it. High blood pressure will definitely cause an aneurysm.
It will be unfair for Kenyans to accuse Babu of causing the death of Mary Adhiambo. He made a silly mistake of shooting DJ Evolve and turning his life upside down. But blaming him for his mother’s death is farfetched.
